Thanks for stopping by. I hope that this is where your healing journey begins.
I am a licensed counselor in the state of Wisconsin. My professional and personal experiences have led me to believe that mental health care should be comprehensive, holistic, and compassionate.
I have extensive experience in various settings, including outpatient, intensive outpatient, and rehabilitative/long-term care. My goal is to guide my clients through healing so that they can live their best lives. Growth is possible and I am here to help.
Certifications
- MS in Mental Health Counseling
- National Certified Counselor through NBCC
- EMDR trained through EMDRIA
- Level 1 Hypnotherapy Certified through ASCH
For 12 years I worked as a medical social worker in sub-acute and long term centers in the Chicagoland area and Milwaukee. Working with the aging population fostered an appreciation in me for end-of-life planning and navigating difficult conversations with loved ones.
In addition to my experience as a medical social worker, I have an extensive background in the mental health field. I spent three years utilizing CBT/DBT modalities as a contracted group therapist with the Department of Corrections, two years as a representative payee for folks with persistent and complex mental health (managing severe mental health and crisis management cases), and three years as a managed Medicaid care case manager keeping folks with disabilities in their homes.
For the past three years I have been working as an outpatient psychotherapist, providing weekly therapy to individuals and families aged 12-75 years old. In addition, I currently work in Intensive Outpatient (IOP), facilitating group therapy for high risk adolescents and young adults.
Philosophy
I believe in fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where every individual is seen, heard, and valued. I seek to recognize the diverse experiences and identities of all clients.
I am proud to be an affirming practitioner, providing a safe space where clients can explore their identities without fear of judgment or discrimination. My therapeutic approach is intended to honor each person’s journey while promoting authenticity and self-acceptance.
My practice is deeply rooted in the principles of equality, respect, and compassion. By embracing these core values, I aim to create a holistic therapeutic experience that supports the well-being and growth of every client, celebrating diversity and championing the rights of all individuals.
