Frequently Asked Questions
Are you accepting new clients?
I am currently accepting in person and telehealth clients! My hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10am-4pm, Tuesday and Thursday 11am-7pm. I offer in person sessions at two Milwaukee area locations:
- Riverwest- Monday-Thursday (off Center Street)
- On the South Side- Friday’s only currently (off Howell Ave).
* I also offer Telehealth services, not in person, on HIPPA complaint zoom. You must ensure you are in a quiet and private area with a reliable internet connection and a desk/laptop computer for all sessions. The days and hours are the same as above.
Who do you work with?
- Teens aged 14 and older- In the state of Wisconsin consent of minors 14 or older must be obtained (the teenager has to agree to treatment). Confidentiality is very important with teens, and I balance appropriate coordination with the caregiver while maintaining trust from the teen.
- Individual adults – Treating those with anxiety, depression, change of life (starting college, new career, recent breakup ect), grief, trauma, self-esteem building, changing habits, aging/end of life, anger management, Bipolar and other mood disorders and self-identity.
- Individuals with trauma, including complex trauma. I utilize several trauma based modalities that are considered specialized and the “gold standard” for treating trauma. I will also regularly coordinate with your psychiatric provider as a part of trauma treatment.
- Individuals with physical disabilities and chronic pain- I utilize somatic and mindful modalities for pain management. Being a person with a physical disability I understand first hand the challenges!
- Individuals who identify as LGBTQ+ – I am an ally and my therapy practice is a safe space! I also have training with WPATH and can provide medical documentation and/or ongoing psychotherapy for those seeking gender affirming medical care.
What should I expect from our sessions?
With each new client, I will start with a comprehensive biopsychosocial. This typically takes the entire first session (including EMDR and Hypnotherapy sessions). I will gather pertinent background information. We will also discuss goals of therapy and together come up with your personalized treatment plan.
Sessions going forward will be customized to meet your specific needs. My professional orientation includes mixing both classic “talk therapy” and evidence based skill building. I firmly believe in regularly checking back in on your goals as throughout the process.
Do you take insurance?
At this time I am considered “out of network”. I can provide you with a superbill to submit to insurance for reimbursements. It is the sole responsibility for the client to get all insurance reimbursement verified prior to starting.
To secure your session, a credit card is required to be on file. Cards are automatically charged at the end of our session, or in accordance with the below policy.
What is your cancellation/Late cancelation policy?
Therapy is best when it is consistent. With that I understand that life keeps on lifing sometimes. I require clients to cancel within 24 hours. Not canceling within a 24 hour window and no shows are subject to fees from the credit card on file.
